- A space that stands empty in the evenings and at weekends
- A community of people who want to move forward
- The basics: wi-fi, coffee machine, projector, reception
- The trust of locals — it is an established address
We are looking for people to build EduPlace in their own region with us.
An EduPlace venue is not an office franchise. It is local infrastructure for education: you get ready-made technology, processes and access to trainers, you bring the space and the relationship with the local community.
We started in Hořice. Now we want EduPlace venues to spring up across the whole country — in every region, in every larger town.
- You don't need your own space
- You don't need to be a business owner
- No entry fee
An education hub needs exactly what a coworking space already has
A coworking space is surprisingly close to being an education venue — and what it is missing happens to be exactly the part that is most expensive to build from scratch.
- Trainers and content for someone to teach
- A system for registrations, payments and invoicing
- Processes that cannot be thought up in one evening
- Reach beyond its own membership
That is exactly what we supply — in detail below.
We did not come up with this model at a desk. It grew out of running CowoHC in Hořice, where we first solved our own problem — how to make a coworking space more than offices for rent. Education turned out to be the missing part: it fills the empty hours, brings in people who would not otherwise come, and some of them stay on as members.
We now offer the same infrastructure to other places. Not as an office franchise — as an education hub that fits a coworking space naturally.
Education should not exist only in Prague and Brno.
When we saw in Hořice — a town of five thousand — how many people are hungry for practical education and how few offers reach them, we said to ourselves: this has to exist elsewhere too.
Online courses solve part of the problem. But it is not the same as sitting next to someone and learning. It is not the same as having a place in your own town where you come after work knowing there is someone who understands you and will help.
A local community matters. People in smaller towns and villages deserve access to education that genuinely helps them. And the best way to bring it there is to let it be run by one of them.
That is why we are looking for you. Someone who lives in their region, knows the people, knows what is needed, and has the energy to build a local education point with us. You don't need a space (we can help with that), you don't need experience in education (that is what we are here for). What matters is the vision and the appetite.

Who makes a good ambassador
We are not expecting a “perfect profile”. What matters most is a bond with the place and the appetite to build something. These are the people who usually get in touch:
Teachers and trainers
People who already teach but lack a platform, support and a community around them. Here they get it.
Freelancers and business owners
Someone who has built a business in a smaller town and wants to keep pushing local development. Education is another building block of the community.
People who run spaces
Do you run a coworking space, a community centre, a village hall, a library? A great starting point — but not a requirement.
Active local patriots
People who love their town, know the others there and want to do something meaningful. That is enough. We will help you with the logistics.
You are not in it alone
We are building a community, not a franchise. That means real support from real people, not a signature on a contract and “here's your password”.
A community of ambassadors
Regular meet-ups (online + once a year in person), a shared Slack, mutual support. We learn from each other, not in isolation.
Know-how from Hořice
Everything we have tried in a year and a half at CowoHC — what works and what doesn't. Playbooks, templates, materials.
EduPlace software
Course catalogue, online payment, video player, certificates, live streaming. All ready-made for your place (eduplace.cz/your-town/).
A network of trainers
Access to all EduPlace online trainers plus help contracting local ones. A trainer can teach at your venue and online for the whole country.
Branding and templates
Visuals, social media materials, posters, email templates, web copy. You don't have to build marketing from scratch.
A personal mentor
I am your contact, as the founder. We talk regularly and sort out whatever you run into. No “support ticket”, just a normal person.
How your EduPlace comes about, step by step
It cannot be done in a week. But it is not a multi-year commitment either — typically you get the first courses running within 3–6 months, then you grow as far as the community carries you.
-
a day or two
A no-obligation call
30 minutes online. You tell me about yourself and the place you live. I tell you how it works in Hořice and what you could build where you are.
-
the first weeks
A joint plan
Writing down the vision: what people you have there, what would interest them, what space could be used, who the first trainers could be.
-
1–3 months
A pilot event
The first 1–3 courses or workshops in your town. I am with you at every step — branding, marketing, trainers.
-
from month 3–6
Regular operation
Your EduPlace is running. You become part of the ambassador team — we share regularly, learn from each other, grow.
CowoHC Hořice — the starting point
Hradec Králové Region · 5,000 inhabitants · since 2024
EduPlace has been running for a year and a half in a small town in the foothills of the Krkonoše mountains. It grew from a coworking base (CowoHC) — shared desks, a coffee machine — into an education point for the region, where people come for courses in IT and AI, languages, soft skills and creative fields.
What you want to learn as ambassadors is exactly these tangible things. We built it in a smaller town with real constraints — not in Prague, not with a big budget. And it works.
Before you apply
Do I need my own space (coworking, a hall…)?
No. Having a space is an advantage, but definitely not a requirement. In Hořice we started with a shared office desk. It can be done in a library, a village hall, a café, a school classroom after hours. We will help you sort it out locally.
What will it cost me?
Entry is free. No setup fee, no monthly flat rate. It works on shared revenue from courses — when you earn, we earn. We go through the details on the first call.
How much time does it take?
In the first phase (setup, first courses) typically 5–10 hours a week. Once it settles it can be as little as 2–3 hours a week — it depends how many courses you run. It can easily be done alongside a main job.
What if I'm not a business owner and don't want to become one?
Not a problem. You can do it on a work agreement with EduPlace, or through an association or a non-profit. We handle the structure case by case — what matters is that it works economically for both sides.
What if my town is too small?
Hořice has five thousand inhabitants and EduPlace works there. What matters more than size is the density of people who want to do something. If you can see at least 10–20 people around you who would like to learn something new, that is enough.
What if my town already has an education offer?
Even better. It means there is an appetite. EduPlace does not compete with local initiatives — on the contrary, we connect with them. Plenty of local trainers teach with us alongside their main job.
What if after a few months I find it's not for me?
No long-term tie. You leave whenever you want. No penalties, no lawsuits. You take the data, the trainer contacts and the know-how with you.
What does “Cowo” in the name mean?
The name historically came from CowoHC (Coworking Hořice), where it all started. It stuck because most ambassadors are people connected to local coworking and community spaces — even though that is not a requirement.
